Our Family: Serving Houston's Comfort Needs Since the 1890s
Fifth-generation Houstonians, Steven and Greg come from a family with deep Houston roots stretching back to a covered-wagon journey to La Porte, TX in 1890. Their ancestors opened a hardware store that eventually provided heating stoves and cooling equipment to the Greater Houston community. Over the decades, each generation honed its craft in the mechanical and construction trades — and today Steven and Greg carry forward that tradition by focusing on modern heating, ventilation and air-conditioning throughout the Houston metro area.
The brothers recently teamed up to deliver professional HVAC services throughout Houston. With complementary technical and business backgrounds — one drawing on years in construction and the other in accounting — they know how to service and install HVAC systems of all sizes in a respectful, customer-focused manner.

How We Work
Systems, Processes and Culture
A problem-solving culture backed by rigorous training, modern tools, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Honesty First
We'll tell you what you need — not what makes us the most money. If a $180 repair fixes your AC in Houston's summer heat, we won't push an $8,000 replacement.
Craftsmanship
Every installation, every repair, every tune-up is done to the highest standard. No shortcuts, no subcontractors. Our family name is on every job.
Reliability
When we say same-day service in Houston, we mean it. When we quote a price, that's the price. When we say 24/7, we answer at 3am.
Community
Houston is our home — it has been for five generations. We hire locally, support local charities, and treat every customer like a neighbor.
Staff are continuously trained on new refrigerants, indoor-air-quality solutions and smart-thermostat integration. This blend of technology and craftsmanship — rooted in 130+ years of Houston heritage — drives the business forward and keeps your home comfortable year-round.
Personal Relationships in HVAC — What Sets Us Apart
Steven and Greg encourage anyone considering an HVAC provider in Houston to speak with several companies to understand how each operates. While service offerings may look similar on paper, they believe that building strong personal relationships — rooted in truly understanding each client's comfort needs — is what ultimately sets their service apart.
Whether it's designing a custom duct layout for a Houston Heights bungalow, explaining the benefits of a high-SEER system for a Sugar Land new build, or walking a Katy homeowner through their financing options — they take time to listen and educate. That's the Mountain Air & Repair difference.
